Privacy Policy
RentPR provides rental management software for landlords and tenants. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how payment, document, reminder, and notification workflows are handled.
Information We Collect
We may collect account information such as name, email address, phone number, role, authentication identifiers, plan type, subscription status, profile settings, and device notification tokens when notifications are enabled.
Users may enter rental information including properties, addresses, units, tenant records, rent amounts, due dates, security deposit amounts, lease dates, payment history, document metadata, uploaded files, notices, reminders, and app activity needed to provide the service.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate RentPR, create and secure accounts, show role-based dashboards, organize rental records, calculate alerts, process subscriptions, support rent payment workflows, send reminders, provide customer support, maintain reliability, detect abuse, and improve the service.
Landlord and Tenant Visibility
Landlords can access rental information connected to properties and tenants they manage. Tenants can access rental information assigned to their tenant profile, such as rental details, payment status, documents, and notices made visible to them by the landlord.
Payments
On Android, Google Play processes RentPR subscription purchases, renewals, cancellations, and related billing information. Stripe and PayPal support separate rent-payment and landlord-payout workflows. A RentPR app subscription is different from a tenant's rent payment. RentPR does not store full card numbers, bank account numbers, PayPal passwords, Google Play payment credentials, or other sensitive payment credentials in the mobile app.
Payment providers may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies, security practices, verification requirements, fees, and compliance rules. RentPR may store payment status, payment method labels, transaction references, payout-related identifiers, and records needed to show payment history or support disputes.
RentPR sends only the contractual rent amount to the payment workflow and does not add a tenant payment-method surcharge. Provider processing fees may be deducted from the landlord's connected receiving account according to the landlord's agreement with Stripe or PayPal.
Documents
RentPR may store rental document metadata and uploaded files such as lease records, notices, receipts, property rules, and other rental documents. Landlords control whether certain documents are visible to tenants.
Notifications
If notifications are enabled, RentPR may send reminders and alerts related to rent, payment status, contracts, notices, account activity, and rental updates. Users may manage notification permissions from their device settings. Push notifications may be delivered through Google, Firebase, Expo, or other notification delivery services used to operate the app.
Service Providers
We use service providers for authentication, cloud hosting, database storage, file storage, notifications, payment processing, billing, security, and support. These providers receive information only as needed to operate RentPR.
RentPR currently uses Firebase Authentication for account access, Cloud Firestore for database storage, and Firebase Storage for uploaded rental documents and property files. These infrastructure providers process information according to their own security and privacy practices.
Security
We use safeguards designed to protect user information, including authenticated access, role-based data rules, secure cloud infrastructure, server-side payment processing, and third-party payment providers. No system is completely secure, and users are responsible for protecting account credentials and device access.
Data Retention
We retain account and rental information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, support billing records, maintain rental history requested by users, and protect the service.
Account and Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their RentPR account and associated personal data by contacting support@rentpr.net. RentPR may need to retain limited records when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, payment records, tax/accounting obligations, legal compliance, or to protect the rights of RentPR, landlords, tenants, or payment providers.
Deleting a landlord account may affect access to property, tenant, document, notice, and payment records connected to that account. Deleting a tenant account may affect access to rental records assigned to that tenant. RentPR may ask for information needed to verify the request before processing deletion.
User Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, users may request access to personal information connected to their RentPR account, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of eligible personal information. Requests can be sent to support@rentpr.net. We may need to verify the request and may retain certain records where required or permitted for legal, payment, security, fraud prevention, tax/accounting, dispute, or service-protection purposes.
Children
RentPR is intended for landlords and tenants who are legally able to manage or participate in rental arrangements. RentPR is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as RentPR changes. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
